Muddy Gumbo

Client: Gumbo Kustoms - a mud riding team that also makes custom back axle paddles for four-wheelers.
Requested a logo to include a four wheeler

I had a lot of fun doin this one and the client was real cool, i always love it when someone says "do your thing, im no artist" best phrase in the world

but anyway, this is what i have so far, i think ima make some changes, prolly take the gradient off kustoms and add a brown outline on top of the green in kustoms so it will match gumbo a little better, the backgroud gradient is just for effect, its not part of the logo...i think im gonna play with some gradients in it, i dont know, ill prolly post the final one

peace

Hey Mr. West. You know I love you right?

So.... the message in the logo does not convey across. I didn't read your post at first. Everyone always will look at a picture before they start reading the type. The client's name doesn't tell us what they are about either. -----

So I just hit google, I understand the thing sticking out now. It's the snorkel, right? Ok. So I see something now. Are you trying to show him submerged in water? It's a good idea, but I did have to research.

I think if this logo is for their company, that you should make the four wheeler a visible entity on the logo. maybe use your splotches over the word Gumbo.
BUT, if this is just for like a team T-shirt I think it's okie dokie. It's heavy on the right as of now, but maybe if you put the splotches in front of the word it'll get some balance.
