Hot Rod BBQ

I am currently working on a new menu board for Hot Rod BBQ.I just finished the design and got the pictures from the photographer yesterday, and am now waiting to get all the prices for the menu. Here is the design, the checkered border was a request of theirs.

Each food item and price will be its own magnetic strip for changeability, so right now the text looks a little scattered but will come together when it is finished.

Switched the seatbelt to go over the left shoulder to show a driver and not a passenger, you dont go to drivers ed to learn how to ride shotgun, adjusted the tracking between the words, as well as the space between all objects, it was getting hard to breathe, also made the switch from a green to a dark red, ill probly make a switch from red to something else soon.

Worked on a new logo for a driving instruction school, they wanted some car graphics and i suggested that they should consider a new logo and he agreed. Below is their old logo and first draft of their new one.

I started working on a logo for a local car audio store that is fixing to open up called Blue Wire, the client wasn't too specific about what he wanted, just make it blue, these are the first couple ideas i came up with.

I've been workin nonstop on a truck wrap the last couple days, below is what the hood and roof of the truck will look like, i designed it as one big piece with the skulls being the main focus and the flames trailing down the truck and it will be printed like that as well. Where we stop on the hood just gets cut off and continued right above the windshield.

This is a pitch for a local beer pong team called Team Clitch, their original thoughts for their logo was an image they gave us of a pelican and some red plastic cups(shown below)
I'm not too sure about the appropriateness of using louisiana's state bird for the beer pong logo, and plus it just doesnt make any sense, i wanted to do something with a minor retro feel but still kind of modern. I want the guys to have an icon, something that is just catchy to the eye, and intimidating to their opponents, i went with a little patriotic feel(like thats much more appropriate) I feel like this is a proud logo that wont back away from any fight or challenge

I had a client ask for a daycare sign, they wanted something nice, so i decided to go with an old toy store kinda look, as seen below

So i get an email back from them saying, "here we made something in MSPaint, this is what we want"

I dont know, maybe im the one who doesnt understand design, this seems to happen a lot, its very discouraging. Think of it like you bought somebody a christmas present that you just knew they would LOVE! and when they open it they ask if they can return it...

Requested a logo to include a four wheeler

I had a lot of fun doin this one and the client was real cool, i always love it when someone says "do your thing, im no artist" best phrase in the world

but anyway, this is what i have so far, i think ima make some changes, prolly take the gradient off kustoms and add a brown outline on top of the green in kustoms so it will match gumbo a little better, the backgroud gradient is just for effect, its not part of the logo...i think im gonna play with some gradients in it, i dont know, ill prolly post the final one

This was for X-Treme MotorSports, the logo got declined, so i was kinda bummed bout it, so i took it back the drawing board, he wanted the letters X and M in it, and he wanted something out of the box and catchy, so i came up with this one.
